Savannah Dentist Explains Risk Factors

What I mean by dental risk factors? In simple terms, these are the things that cause damage to your teeth and make you lose your teeth.

There are risk factors to base 3. You probably know 2 of them very well, but the third, you may have never heard of. The following risk factors often seen in dentistry in Savannah.

1.The first risk factor cavities. Bacteria that live on the teeth eat holes in your teeth. We call these holes ... cavities. The problem with a tooth cavity is that low. Weak teeth can break. Decay can develop in the tooth nerve, causing extreme pain.

2.The second factor is the risk of gum disease called periodontitis. The same bacteria that cause tooth decay can cause gum disease. These bacteria live at the base of the teeth near the gums. As a dentist in Savannah I'm sure that if you do not brush and floss properly grow the bacteria on the gums. When this bacterium colonizes and destroys it eats away the bone. If the bone is destroyed, there is nothing to keep your teeth in the mouth. The result is that your teeth are moving and falling like baby teeth.

3.The third is biting risk factor for disease. You do not have teeth sloping poor occlusion. You can with a bad bite or crooked teeth straight. A bad bite, the worst of the 3 risk factors, because it causes the teeth to light (as do pockets) and your bones will be removed (such as gum disease does).

Dentists can reduce or eliminate the risk of dental care. But not all dentists are alike.

They have different skills, training, technologies and philosophies. All patients are not equal. They have aspirations, needs and desires.
